CP Technologies Announces Release of New Secure Storage Array

96TB Enterprise Class Storage in 6RU 19” Rack Form Factor

San Diego, CA – CP Technologies has successfully developed a mass storage array for secure transportation of large data sets.  The system contains (12) FIPS140-2 self-encrypting 8TB removable drive canisters for a total of 96TB (unformatted) of secure data, Intel Xeon™ processor and configurable host interfaces (10G/40G Ethernet, Fiber Channel, InfiniBand, etc..).  This not only allows for fast and secure transportation of large amounts of data, but also provides for other features such as instant secure erase to wipe the entire contents of the drive with a single command from the host.

With the advent of the “Internet of Things” and increasingly complexity and volume of data from sensors, more and more system architects are putting storage at the sensor’s initial data accumulation point.  This enables the system to pre-process the data and help reduce the sheer amount of live data being transported over the network as the data has been pre-filtered/analyzed and condensed for transport.  The actual raw data can be transported on the 8TB carrier for further analysis back at the central site without tying up the limited live bandwidth that is available on a global scale.
