In the heart of bustling San Diego, where innovation meets tradition , CP North America was born out of a vision to redefine excellence in military and industrial computer systems. Our journey began over twenty-five years ago under the name Chassis Plans, a spin-off of Industrial Computer Source. What started was a small office with a group of passionate engineers sharing a common goal – designing and creating tools that not only met, but exceeded the stringent requirements of people operating in mission-critical situations under the harshest environments.
The Journey of Growth
1997: Established as a spin-off of Industrial Computer Source providing engineering services and computer system designs.
1998: Achieved recognition by Internet Telephony Center Stage for the design of the 717-BP20 Rackmount Computer.
2001: Expanded product offerings from design services to complete turnkey computer systems, catering to a broader range of industrial and military applications.
2006: Featured in COTS Journal article “Rugged Displays Suit Up for Challenging Environments,” highlighting our advancements in rugged display technology.
2011-2014: Honored multiple times by Inc 500/5000 list for rapid growth and innovation. Notable accolades include #39 of Top 100 Computer Hardware Companies in 2013 and consistent recognition for excellence in engineering and product development.
2015: Mil Embedded Systems magazine awards the TFX1-19 rackmount LCD an Editor’s Choice Award.
2017: Acquired by the Aeronautics Group, enhancing our capabilities and expanding our reach in the aerospace and defense sectors. This acquisition has allowed us to leverage the advanced technologies and extensive resources of the Aeronautics Group, further cementing our position as a leader in the industry.
2020: Relocated to Prescott, AZ, and completed our 50,000 sq ft state-of-the-art headquarters, equipped with cutting-edge manufacturing and engineering facilities. This move has enabled us to enhance our production capabilities and streamline our operations, further ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
As Chassis Plans, we established ourselves as a leader in rugged computer systems and industrial solutions. Our commitment to quality and innovation earned us a loyal customer base and a strong reputation in the industry. Over the years, we recognized the need to evolve and expand our horizons. This led to our metamorphosis from Chassis Plans into CP Technologies and finally CP North America, a brand that better reflects our broader vision and mission.
