When we talk about GPU computing, we are referencing General Purpose computing on Graphics Processing Units, also known as GPGPU. GPU computing accelerates application performance by offloading compute-intensive portions of the application to the GPU, while the remainder of the code still runs on the CPU. Applications run significantly faster from the perspective of the user.
Defining Your GPU Computer Specifications
System performance depends on many factors, not the least of which is the CPU family that you start with for your design. Should you emphasize cores? threads? cache? speed? or any one of dozens of other criteria, if your application is multithreaded, you need consider? When you work with the engineering team at CP Technologies, we can help your team better understand the choices available in the market. For example, some options we offer are NVIDIA’s Tesla Cards. If your applications are written in one of the newer programming languages that are designed to take advantage of the latest advances in graphic processing, we help you analyze the hardware options available and work with you to identify the right combination of memory, I/O speed enhancements, cooling bottlenecks, and other factors that when taken together as a whole, can produce dramatic results.
Custom Solutions
Custom design is part our DNA. Since 1997, CP Technologies has been designing, integrating, testing and installing custom computer systems of every shape and size. Let us help you get exactly what you want, when you need it, all in single configuration with a single part number. ©2012 NVIDIA Corporation. All rights reserved.
